Nic Fairbank

CEO

Nic Fairbank is an experienced businessperson with a good balance of sound commercial acumen and demonstrated leadership to resolve the challenges presented by an organisations evolving strategic direction.

He is well versed in dealing with complications presented by highly competitive landscapes across multiple geographies.


Nic has experience across both public (ASX listed) and private enterprise, having held CEO, COO, MD and Director positions across the industrial, human services and security sectors.


Joining ERS in 2024, Nic is focused on the sustainable growth of ERS's services. 

Working with the deep capabilities of the ERS team, Nic is committed to supporting Australian and international companies with their emergency, crisis and security response requirements.


Wayne Weeks

Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Wayne plays a pivotal role within ERS, focusing on security and crisis and emergency management and response of ERS’s operations across the globe.

With an acute understanding of human behaviour and unique operational skillset, Wayne has more than 36 years military experience, including 30 years within the Special Forces Services (SAS). He has led, managed, trained, coached and mentored mission critical teams in complex, diverse, sensitive and strategic political environments.

 

An expert trainer, Wayne is passionate about the development of high performing teams. He has extensive teaching experience and exceptional skillset in high-risk and firearms training.

As well as training the SAS, Wayne has led development programs for Australia’s Police agencies, including high performing Tactical Response and Emergency Response units. 

Our Leadership Team

David Anderson

GM Industrial Medicine

With a background in Industrial Health and Pre-Hospital Care his industry, David combines many years of industry experience, operational expertise and strategic thinking to lead the ERS Industrial Medicine and Workplace Health and Safety team.

Throughout his career, David has developed and scaled mission-critical services across Australia’s most demanding industries, including mining, government, and critical infrastructure.

David plays a pivotal role in driving ERS’s growth, improving performance, strengthening governance, and forging long-term partnerships.

Neryl Joyce

GM of Onsite Services

Neryl has 30 years of experience in ensuring safety and security within some of the most demanding settings, including remote areas and conflict zones.

This has included roles with the Military Police, private security contracts, Serco, special operations for the Department of Justice, and Wilsons. She has navigated high-stakes security roles including providing protection for dignitaries in Iraq, orchestrated tactical prison security operations, and overseen detention centre management on Christmas Island.

At ERS, Neryl is responsible for developing security operations, enhancing security capabilities, and training security teams.

Adrian Kotowski

GM Emergency Operations Centre

A highly experienced specialist in intelligence, security risk, and emergency management, Adrian has across multiple sectors, including worked in government agencies, private organisations, and the military.

He brings to ERS a strong ability to handle complex environments and develop effective strategies for risk mitigation and emergency management.

Adrian also served in the Australian Army, where he gained valuable experience managing intelligence processes and led intelligence operations during deployments to Afghanistan as part of the Special Operations Task Group.

Andrew Clarke

GM of Client Engagement

As ERS’s Client Engagement lead, Andrew provides leadership with clients in how to ensure the safety and well-being of personnel, and manage risk and reputation in high-risk environments.

He has diverse experience and expertise across risk management, safety procedures, and training delivery, extensive specialist certifications.

Andrew’s experiences covers emergency management and safety in mining, offshore, construction and critical infrastructure. His expertise ensures organisations adhere to industry standards and best practices through thorough training needs analysis and mapping.

Brian Lee

GM Advisory

Brian specialises in security and risk assessments, crisis and emergency management planning and delivering desktop exercises, business continuity planning and training and venue security. Prior to ERS, Brian consulted for local, national and global companies and was the General Manager of Security and Surveillance at Crown Casinos, and spent more than a decade with the WA Police.

 

Brian’s risk assessment skills and experience covers the gamut of risks, from security through to crisis and emergency management, medical services, intelligence, health and safety and training. 

Marnie Edwards 

GM East Coast

Marnie is an experienced executive and consultant that has successfully led frontline, operational and executive

teams in transport, emergency services, and not-for-profit organisations for over thirty years.

 

Marnie has a wealth of experience in delivering successful programs and multiple projects, emergency management programs, creating

positive performance cultures and delivering on time and in budget.

Chris Phillips

Head, Environmental Risk & Resilience

Chris leads ERS’s Environmental division, overseeing complex environmental compliance, approvals strategy, and sustainability advisory services for major clients across the resource, infrastructure, and government sectors.

With over 20 years of experience in environmental regulation, conservation, and operational leadership, Chris brings a practical and outcomes-driven approach to navigating environmental challenges.

Chris previously led national and international environmental crime investigations, and environmental evaluations for major resource and infrastructure programs for both the state and federal government agencies.
