We have deep expertise covering fire, medical and emergency management across the ERS team. This supports our work in everything from a strategic assessment of hazards, reviews of emergency and crisis systems and processes, preparing emergency response plans, and crisis response. This expertise also supports ERS's training & development and recruitment programs, ensuring we have the right skilled and qualified staff ready to deploy for our clients.

Law Enforcement

The law enforcement background of a number of the ERS team contributes strongly to ERS’s ability with security and intelligence services, including the ability to assess to threats to an organisation or individual, and co-ordinating appropriate responses in crisis and emergency situations.

Environment

As environmental risks have become a key feature for ESG’s assessments, ERS now developed its environmental risk management capabilities to support organisations manage environmental risks from approvals through to implementation. Our team is highly experienced within the environmental space, and is supported by ERS’s wider risk management skills and expertise

Our Founder

Former Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment veteran Scott Houston, who served in Afghanistan and East Timor, swapped the battlefield for the boardroom when he founded ERS in 2008.

Scott recognised the unique skills he’d developed through the military could be applied to risk management scenarios for private and public organisations in high-risk operational settings, including mining, healthcare, government, critical infrastructure, and high-profile individuals.

Scott, and his wife Fiona, imprinted strong military discipline, expertise and strong focus on service into the ERS DNA, and the company quickly became Australia's leading risk management provider, expanding into global markets.

Scott is now sits on the ERS Board, and continues to drive ERS's ethos of service, solutions and excellence.

Yampurru

Sitting within the wider ERS family is Yampurru, an Indigenous-owned company that specialises in providing high-level indigenous-led services such as security, logistics, emergency response, medical management and indigenous engagement.
